Jewel Short Bio.
Jewel Kilcher, born May 23, 1974 in Payson, Utah to Atz Kilcher, and Lenedra Caroll. Lived in Alaska where she learned to yodel by age 6. No concept of stage fright. Parents divorced when she was 8. Lived with her dad until 16. Went to Inerlochen Arts Acadamy in Michigan 'til 18. Moved to San Diego, Ca when 18. Sang in Innerchange Coffee House for 25 dollars and food. Lived in VW van with mom. Discovered by Atlantic Record Talent Scouts, Pieces of You is realeased Feb. 24, 1995. Bought house called Del Mar, lives with her mom. 2nd Album Spirit released went tripple platnium, almost running over Pieces of You. Presently livesin San Diego California with her mom and horses Jazz and Chance.
